Camps

The encounter with God transforms young person’s heart and life, empowers them for decision making and leads into God’s presence. Yearning for God’s Word and the ability to obey it daily are crucial for spiritual formation.

For that reason the SU Estonia started  in 2003 the Bible Reading Camps program (http://www.pll.ee), which is focused on Jesus Christ, the God's Living Word. In 10 years camps have grown in number and have become a “must event” for several generations of Estonian children and youth.

Teams of volunteers are making every effort to help children and young people to read and understand God’s Word, which will influence their lives  and encourage them to walk with God.

BR camps aim to create an environment, where every child and young person will be able to hear God’s voice and have space to reflect over questions of life. Why they live the way they do, who they are and what they really desire to become? Every year new programs and methods are created and applied in order to help the participants to take next step towards God.

Camps are organised for age groups 7-11, 12-15, 16-20, 21+, both for churched and unchurched youth.

Camps vary in themes, depth of teaching and activities. The team members gather from all over Estonia and from different denominations for prayer, fasting, worship, Bible study, fun, year-round creative activities and team training. Camps are run by volunteers and supported by several faithful partners. This enables us to serve especially children and young people from needy families, who can’t afford to pay the full price.

The greatest inspiration for both participants and team members is to witness how personal encounter with God transformes young lives.

BR camps have become also seedbeds and springboards for numerous young Christian leaders.
